A new podcast launched by the Thabo Mbeki Foundation and which is anchored by former EFF Member of Parliament and Ex-Power FM show host Dr. Mbuyisenï Ndlozi  called African Renaissance is set to be a hit. Ndlozi recently left Power FM to assume a new position as senior research fellow at the Thabo Mbeki Foundation in Johannesburg. It appears apart from his duties as a researcher anchoring the podcast is part of his duties.

The first episode which made its debut on Monday, October 27, 2025, became an instant hit, immediately attracting around 10 000 subscribers and was viewed by over 125 000 people as of Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The first episode featured former President Thabo Mbeki, who spoke on a wide range of issues, including the Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi press Conference, the leadership of Oliver Tambo, the thorny issue of immigration and the post 2007 leadership of the ANC among other issues.

During the discussion, Mbeki appeared to be at ease with the host Ndlozi, a political scientist with a doctorate in politics earned at the University of the Witwatersrand. The nature of the discussion was relaxed. Mbeki, Ndlozi confirmed on the podcast, will avail himself for an interview once a month on the platform.
