Gospel star Deborah Fraser passes on

Veteran gospel artist Deborah Fraser has passed on. Fraser who started her carrer in 1985, first as a backing vocalists for several musicians, including Brenda Fassie passed on Sunday , May 15, 2022 at a hospital where she was admitted.

She has been sick for some time now..

After a long career known as a backing vocalist, however Fraser launched her debut gospel album in the early 2000, and from there onwards enjoyed a successful solo career on the South African gospel scene as fans bought her records and she became a regular feature at music festivals over the years.
The artist lived a relatively comfortable life having bought her own house in the Johannesburg East suburb of Bez Valley in the mid 2000s from her earnings as a performer and recording artist.
