Pan African feminist organisation launches in Johannesburg

A new pan African organisation that seeks to put the life of women on the agenda on the African continent has been launched.

The luanch of this organisation called House of African feminisms(HOAF) took place at Goethe-Institut offices in Johannesburg on Saturday, July 23, 2022, taking the form of a hybrid format that enabled attendance by participants from other African countries, such as Rwanda and Nigeria among others.

The launch witnessed various testimonies of fedmale activists who shared sad stories of patriarchy and entrenced patriarchal attitudes on the African continent not only among ordinary people, but disturbingly even in public institutions.

The launch also witnessed intellectually stimulating poetry reading and a DJ whose selection of music was great to the ear and created the right mood for the evening after the official launch.
