Visual artist Cinthia Sifa Malunga up for a major award

South African based DRC born artist Cinthia Sifa Malunga’s star keeps on rising on the local visual art sector. She first made headlines during the hard lockdown when he works became popular online with collectors and ever since her profile continues to grow, with the latest trajectory in her career being nominated for a major British art award.
“Latitudes Online is thrilled to announce that artist Cinthia Sifa Mulanga has been selected as one of 50 creatives worldwide, for the British Fashion Council NEW WAVE: Creatives. Originally from the DRC, Cinthia is an independent artist who lives and works in South Africa, and is supported by Latitudes as her agent,” Latitudes Online said in a statement yesterday.
This prestigious nomination was introduced in 2018 to broaden the spotlight on exceptionally innovative young creatives worldwide, and is a global celebration of the impact their work has had on the industry. The list focuses on celebrating creativity, innovation and excellence, and supporting the future pipeline of creative talent.
