She is brainy and the judges found her talented in other areas of her life to declare her Xhosa Queen representing the Xhosa Kingdom in the popular annual beauty pageant with a difference Indoni. This beauty pageant is not like any other in the country in that its brings together all ethnic groups in the country and each must be represented by a regional winner who will go to the finals, hoping that she will be the one eventually picked by the judges as the ultimate South African beauty queen representing the essence of what beauty is to these different ethnic groups.
So far the prospects for Yenzokuhle Busakwe in this competition look good as she has been chosen to represent the Xhosa Kingdom, essentially representing the concept of what a Xhosa nation, with its various clans would look like in an ideal situation. Of course some will rightly point out that that there is no such thing as one Xhosa Kingdom as in fact historically there is more than one. Given these dynamics it is important to note that the beauty queen hails from the Xhosa Kingdom of Mikhaya Tshethu from Mtata.
However be that as it may, the judging panel have picked Yenzo as the one representing mainly a collection of ethnic groups collectively referred as Xhosa Kingdom in the context of this culturally influenced beauty pageant and she is ready and looking forward to the finals that will take place at the4 Durban ICC Centre at a date to be yet determined in December 2022. The excited beauty queen spoke to CITYLIFE/ARTS on Wednesday, 2022 from Makhanda in the Eastern Cape where she is studying for a Masters of Arts Degree at Rhodes University.
“On the 2nd of July God granted me the opportunity to be crowned as

On the 23rd of September- 25 of September we will be travelling to Venda Limpompo (Thohoyoyandou) for the unveiling of Kings and Queens representing all THE 12 KINGDOMS (11 tribes we have plus the Khoisan)we have in Indoni..
The final date for the finals is sill to be announced. The finals will take place in December in Durban ICC and it such an honour and privilege that the Indoni Miss Cultural South Africa team has seen me as worthy enough to represent my Xhosa tribe .It is not something that I take for granted. Ndakuhlala ndiliphuhlisa iqhalo nesaci seIndono esithi “Inkcubeko yam , ibhongo neqhayiya lam,” the beauty Queen told CITYLIFE/ARTS.
