Besides its natural resources, Limpopo has so much to offer the world. What about its picturesque landscape, its farming heritage, rich culture and more. This is definitely a tourist paradise and from some reason, this is a province that the tourism authorities are under-marketing.
Like all other sectors tourism has had a knock because of the wolr4d pandemic, Covid-19. However now that there is a lull when it comes to infections from this fatal viral disease, there is an opportunity to restart the tourism sector, and this can be done by holding events in big events in the province besides of course other initiatives in marketing.
Holding big events is one sure thing to reignite tourism activities in the province. And it does not always have to be international tourists as domestically there is an opportunity to attract people from other provinces to Limpopo. This potential became clear over the when Kalahari Waterfront at Nandoni Dam, in Limpopo hosted the 10th edition of Miss Global Heritage which attracted over 2000 people to the event.

Kalahari Waterfront Lodge is a beautiful place to be in as it has so much to offer in terms of activities. The media team that was covering the Miss Global Heritage over the Heritage weekend had a taste of what one can do at this venue. On September 24, after watching the rehearsals briefly ahead of the event in the evening, the media team was taken on a cruise floating on the waters of this massive dame as we enjoyed our drinks and of course the views from the boat. What an experience right here at our door step.
.At the end of the event, the crown, which was designed by Wumba Kapo of Akapo Jewellers who recently opened a shop in DaVinci Hotel in Sandton, was won by Miss Haiti Abigail Pierre-Louis runner up is current Miss Zimbabwe Eva Mzondiwa and our own beloved Zabele Hlabisa from KwaZulu Natal became the 2nd runner up. Well as to the media team at the award Miss Global Heritage we enjoyed our boat ride.
