Gone but echoes of her voice to continue ringing in the imaginations of many

She trained as an opera singer but pursued jazz professionally instead. She accumulated accolades in this genre. But now she is gone. The music fans in general entertainment and her colleagues in particular are reeling. They are mourning a music icon. A talented artist whose voice will continue to ring in the ears and imaginations of many long after her demise. The voice’s echoes will continue to infect the minds of many for several years.
Gloria Bosman was not an ordinary musician. She simply had it. She carved her path with the determination and flair of someone who knew she had it. It that distinguishes one from the rest. That uniqueness that leaves people in awe when they watch one in performance. She died after a short illness in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
But her career in jazz genre was long. Her music, especially her voice was simply hers. Special to her. Special to those she touched too with her singing. Her stage presence. Her aura. Her energy. Her laughter. Her several albums. What a trail blazing jazz artist gone too soon.
May Gloria Bosman’s soul rest in peace.
