The young people inner city Johannesburg are at it again –putting together yet another multi-disciplinary art experience after the success of their first event last month. And encouragingly they are doing this on their own without depending on the ever elusive idea of seeking public funding

Express is a visual arts exhibition platform that aims to showcase the artistic expression of established and upcoming artist in South Africa. Founded on the principles of resourcefulness, self-expression and occupying spaces. The platform is an organic mix of music, live painting, and a visual art exhibition that will last a month long. The opening consists of DJs that have an eclectic collection of music ranging from Jazz, Future Beats, Lo-Fi with a special Live Performance.

Everything is hosted at the Weedlovers Market in Marshalltown in collaboration with Wine Night Stand curated by Khaya Madungandaba. The space is a self is creative space that hosts art lovers, food lovers as well as creative professionals.

Participating artists include Kat.Love, Sit 5bob Khumalo, Olwethu Mashinini, Tumisho Ramokonye, Bongo Mei.
