Tshepo Mathari joins Alex FM
Broadcaster, Fashion Entrepreneur, Social Activist and Corporate trailblazer Tshepo “Lord_Aluta ” Mathari is the new Presenter of Alex FM’s Top 20 Music Chart Show.
The show airs every Saturday from 10am to 12pm on the Alex based station. “I’m so excited to be part of the station. Alex FM is a brand that has done so much for the community, in the music business fraternity nurturing Artists and brands. I’m not new to Radio as I started my journey at YFM”.
At YFM he wrote bulletins, news editing, trained in news anchoring whilst being groomed by industry veterans such as Khanyi Magubane, Mac Farlane Moleli and Udo Carelse. Tshepo is a qualified Journalist with a Media qualification from Damelin.
“Over the years I have built my thriving Radio profile having worked at EKFM in Tsakane, Eastrand then later exploring the Online Radio medium joining FDR (Fashion District Radio) and recently Evogue Radio holding down their weekend chart shows,” says Mathari excitedly.
For his birthday this year, which is on 3 September Lord_Aluta has committed to a charity drive called Afrisanta for the next 4 months, running from September to December to collect as many toys as he can for the young kids in the Alexandra Township.
“The pandemic has had negative effects on almost every aspect of life. I just want to cheer up the young ones with toys, show them that society still loves and appreciates them. I’ve been very fortunate to have received direct mentorship from the Global business leader Richard Brandon in Philanthropy through Virgin Unite. He’s very big on giving back, hence these initiatives that I undertake,”says Tshepo.
The drive will start off with a dinner alongside friends, who will officially kick off the charity drive with donations.
