Street legendary jam sessions I witnessed are inspiring

 By Nomfundo Nkosi

On the 27th of April 2025 a creative team from Meadowlands Ndofaya (Zone 9 Bus terminals), teamed to call out artists from all around Gauteng to enjoy their encompassing third street jam session. Their aim is to allow creative artists to gather together to showcase their talent to present audience. It is not a once or thrice project, yet a program that will continue touching lives through live arts and exhibitions.

In case you are looking for a suitable and free entrance event to captivate your state and enjoy cool music and entertainment, this event is made available as a platform. As CITYLIFE/ARTS we took an oath to witness this inspiring event, and we were not disappointed by what unfolded infront of our eyes.

From the well-known public figures namely Neo Matsunyane, Gontshe Nthegang, Smartie Olifant and Mr Kgafela to those still emerging, this is popular culture being instilled within the society.

It hasn’t just been melody that’s written in vocals, yet stories of upcoming artists, looking for endorsement and getting the right market to supply their musical therapy to thousands and millions of audiences are abundant at this series of events. This platform allows participants from various locations to encompass their talent and musical therapy that deal with lyrical sequences and choruses that emphasize the message uprooted by each message conveyed.

It revives lost hope, unravels the soul capacity to relate, revolve and propelling healing consistently. It touches bases with the historical nature of vocal concepts that tell various community stories. From local markets to promoting their concepts to suitable buyers for painting, music, poetry monologues, storytelling and more, to allowing normal artists to be recognized by the mass media purposefully to recreate and revamp, this is indeed a beautiful series.

It is the space to relax, showcase your talents and also what’s important is people from various categories of the arts meet to bring the creative arts to life and live.

It also allows marketing such as shopping fleas to offer services within the target market within the terminal space used as a venue. From the youngest available talent preservation to the oldest, these artists hold up a concert that’s conducted by a Mutual Mc or host Neo Matsunyane. For me it has been an experience of bliss to experience such on a Freedom Day.

Embracing and keeping its audiences captivated with lined up artists, giving its audience good live performances. It breaks ice to new artists, young and old. Gontse as an established known artist shared her side of the story about breaking boundaries for the first time in a live performance.

  1. This something that will revive our roots. And know who we are. Is very influential to one to build up his livelihood image being either talent or skill
