The Vault, Zoe Modiga’s latest album launched

Standard Bank Young Artist for Music (2023) winner Zoe Modiga, the irrepressible musician and eclectic performer who has carved a cult-like following due to her eye-watching costumes, wondrous vocal-range and an irresistible stage presence held an intimate listening-session of her fourth studio album, The Vault at a local establishment recently.
This latest self-written and produced album follows on from her 2024 release of Nomthandazo which was well received and further established Zoe Modiga as a respected and much sought after artist.
Described as an “experimental, alternative-soul sonic landscape”, The Vault is musically brave and artistically daring which is how one could describe the dizzying career Zoe Modiga has had since her debut album, Yellow: The Novel in 2017.
In The Vault one can sense an artist who is supremely confident in her abilities which is what lends this genre-bending album an effervescent freshness. The songs featured on The Vault are drawn from over 15 years’ worth of unreleased music, some of which did not make it onto the previous three albums.
The Vault could be Zoe Modiga’s most raw, tender and deeply personal work yet.

The Vault will be launched on the John Kani stage at the iconic Market Theatre in Johannesburg on 23rd April 2026.
