Turkish food festival to launch at Victoria Yards

This month food lovers will be spoilt for choice as a new food festival will be launched at Victoria Yards. East of Johannesburg. This food festival has everything Turkish about it, and those who would love to explore Turkish cuisine will be spoilt for choice at this inaugural culinary experience.
“We are excited to announce our annual Turkish food festival which will be held at Victoria Yards on Saturday 20 May from 10 am until 4pm,” a statement from the organisers reads.

* Durum Kebabs will be sold by the amazing Alaturka Restaurant
* Fresh baklava and the delicious dessert Kunefe from the Baklava Company in Centurion ( Turkish )
* Freshly made Turkish tea
* Turkish pastries and other delicacies
* Lokum talisi ( Turkish dessert )
* Various other stores selling items also such as scarves, perfumes, toys etc
* Raffle prizes which include The Four Seasons Hotel stay, a spa treatment from Yaddah Castle ( Turkish Spa ), DEFY appliances, Stay at the Houghton Hotel for 2 people and more
* There will be live performances throughout the day.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Turkish Earthquake fund
