Artist and model Khethiwe Hlophe crowned inaugural Miss Capital City SA

Miss Capital City SA, more than just a beauty pageant, stands as a beacon for girl empowerment, fostering mentorship and coaching to sculpt the skills and character of young women destined to become future leaders. The pageant was co-founded by the Genivar Mmushi who has also accomplished a lot in her life. She is a Sunbabe 2014 winner, fashion model, pageant veteran, and member of YALI (Young African Leaders Initiative).

Genivar is also an accomplished actress, having participated in Soweto Fashion Week and now serves as a business coach and marriage counsellor, showcasing her commitment to employment and community development. Alongside Genivar is Angela Xaba, an accomplished actress, theater performer, university student at the University of Mpumalanga, and a professional fashion model.

Miss Capital CitySA is committed to promoting cultural diversity and tourism in South Africa. The crowning ceremony for Miss Capital City SA took place at the revered Freedom Park, a heritage site in Pretoria, on December 2, 2023. Khethiwe Hlophe, an artistic model with a passion for drawing, was crowned as the inaugural Miss Capital City SA Queen. Beyond her modelling pursuits, Khethiwe has embarked on a journey to make a difference in her community, recently launching her own makeup brand. Her commitment to learning and growth epitomizes the values instilled by Miss Capital City SA.
