Memorial service for hip hop dancer and artist Tumi Tladi announced

The memorial service details for the late Itumeleng “Tumi” Tladi has been announced.
Tladi had a promising career, first as a dancer and later as a hip hop artist. Unfortunately he suddenly died from as yet undisclosed cause. He died suddenly on Sunday, July 10, 2022. No details surrounding his death have yet been released by his family, beyond the memorial service details. Tumi is the son a well-known jazz promotion family Peter and Jane Tladi, who are behind the internationally reputed Joy of Jazz festival, the country’s premier jazz festival.
The family however released a short statement on Tuesday, announcing the memorial service details, but did not disclose full details surrounding the young man’s demise, and asked for their privacy to be respected to mourn the loss of their loved one..
”The family of the late Tumi Tladi would like to thank South Africans for their outpouring Love and Support after the news of His untimely passing.
The Talented Dancer and Artist was a passionate and loving Son, Brother and Uncle to his family, and Dearly appreciated by his friends and fans.
Tumi, 30, sadly passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Sunday, 10 July 2022 in Johannesburg.
He leaves behind his Parents, Five Siblings, his Niece and Nephews.
The Tladi family humbly request privacy during this period of grieving and ask that all South Africans please keep them in Their prayers during this Bereavement.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, 15 July 2022 at the Rivers Church in Sandton from 12pm,”the statement read.
Funeral details will be shared once all the arrangements have been confirmed.
