By CityLIfe Arts Writer

The travelling exhibition The Backroom Installation by artist Katlego Yamodimo, has a new home in Midrand, opening on March 29, 2024.

The Backroom installation is an impressive contemporary art exhibition that draws inspiration from the often-overlooked lives and ideas of people who are seen as lacking inspiration, vision, and dreams. Featuring several thought-provoking art pieces, the exhibition powerfully reflects the artist's thoughts, emotions, and memories, produced at different stages of their life and process, providing a unique perspective and insight into their world.

Multi-disciplinary artist, Katlego Yamodimo, is an expert in telling his story through his works while highlighting the environment and times of his reality. After hosting the exhibition in different locations, including his location (Kasi-Lakhe), he aims to continue the conversation at a different location where dreamers from this environment have set up, but some have forgotten how their ideas were formulated.

The exhibition is set to take place at Bantu Kings Studios and will be curated by Indoni Arts and Entertainment. The show will open on March 29, 2024, on Easter Friday. With such a unique and powerful vision, this exhibition promises to be a must- see event for art enthusiasts and anyone looking to gain a new perspective on life and art.
